The Samsung Galaxy S is the latest phone to run the Android operating system and arguably the most advanced cell phone released by Samsung in a long time. As a result it is cutting edge and comes with a price which is high as would be expected from such a phone. Much like most other new cell phones, it is a smart phone which can be controlled through the large, touch sensitive screen. Samsung have created a screen which shows the crispest of images and so there is a need to protect it.

The screen is arguably the most vulnerable part of the phone to damage, certainly scratches show up more here than elsewehere on the Galaxy S. As a result it makes sense to protect it. Many people buy cases or pouches - these are very good but some have open sections/holes through which the Galaxy S can be damaged. Another problem is what happens when the Samsung Galaxy S is out of the case. Maybe you are using it, suddenly realise you need to pop out to the shops for a second and so put the phone in the pocket forgetting to put it in the case only to find on returning back home that the screen has become scratched by coins and keys.

Screen protectors provide a solution. Screen protectors are very thin sheets of clear plastic which are placed over the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S. Once the screen protector has been applied it shall protect the screen from damage such as in the scenario outlined above. There are several sorts of screen protectors available for cell phones, which are designed to be used in a variety of ways. The first principle works by spending money on a relatively expensive screen protector which is designed to be scratch/dent/abrasion proof. However, the cost of these is generally only about $10 and so is worth the expense when compared with the cost of the Samsung Galaxy S which costs hundreds of dollars. The second option involves using cheaper screen protectors. These are designed to resist scratching to a lesser degree, however since they are low cost once they have become scratched it is possible to simply peel them off and apply another one hopefully leaving a pristine screen.

At the present time the Samsung Galaxy S hasn't been released to the market and so there are no screen protectors available for this specific model. However, in the future it is hoped that screen protectors designed for the Samsung Galaxy S will become available and when they do they will appear below, along with a brief description of each separate product.  For an idea of what this future page will include see HTC Droid Incredible Screen Protectors and Motorola Droid Screen Protectors.
