Hubpages Login

Hubpages is an online revenue sharing website.  This article is an experiment which I am running, so only read on if you want to - if not do one of the following.

I recently read this article about Facebook and Read Write Web.  The article basically details how recently due to the way Google works an article by Read Write Web became top of the Google search results for the search term Facebook Login (click here for more information on how this happens).  This resulted in many people becomings confused by what they saw as major changes to Facebook (in fact rather than looking at Facebook they were on a Read Write Web article).

I wondered whether many people login to Hubpages in the same way (by searching Hubpages login) and if so how many people do this. I also wondered if anyone at all would be caught out by this change.

I could have ran this experiment on a different web address, but I don't mean to cause excessive confusion and so have created this experiment looking into the Hubpages login on Hubpages itself. I have also provided a direct link to the Hubpages login in the introduction to this hub, as well as a link for new Hubpages users to sign up with.  

Some may feel that with this I am deliberately misleading the users of search engines and Hubpages, which I suppose I am, but at the present stage in the Google UK search results for 'Hubpages login' there is not a single link to the Hubpages login, so maybe if this hub gets lot of traffic it will be a sign to Hubpages management to try and make the actual Hubpages login page appear more prominently in the search engine results.    

In time I will update this hub with rough figures on how many people come to this page thinking it is the Hubpages login page to give people an idea of how important the use of search engines is by even hubbers to find Hubpages.
